ABOUT ME

I graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Sociology in 2014. 

As an Undergrad, I’ve worked as a reporter for both The Stony Brook Press and The Statesman, the university magazine and newspaper, respectively. I also spent a semester working in a team of students that produced a weekly newscast called “Stony Brook News."

 

After graduation in 2014, I interned for Auritt Communications Group, a PR broadcast company. At the same time, I also interned for NESRI,  a non-profit. After leaving both those internships in January of 2015, I accepted writing and editing internships with YourTango, an online magazine focused on love and relationships, and AlleyWatch, a website for technology and startup news.

In 2018, I accepted the position of Assistant Editor at YourTango, working alongside a managing editor for the Experts department. In addition to editing content, I also built and scheduled daily newsletters and wrote content for the website.

In the Fall of 2021, I entered the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, pursuing a Master's in Journalism, with an arts and culture concentration and specializations in print and video.

For the past 2 years, I have been working as an Assignment Desk Editor for News 12 The Bronx and Brooklyn. I monitor emails and phones for stories and news tips and launch news crews to assignments. I also communicate with authorities and sources for information and updates on local news stories.
